TransitDB Vancouver is a free Android app and website for getting public transit information for Metro Vancouver.

This project started out back in 2009 or so, in my second year at UBC, as a way to solve a problem: given all the buses departing UBC Loop and heading east towards a SkyTrain station, what's the optimal bus to catch in order to get home? As a commuter student, being able to see all upcoming bus departures at UBC Loop saves a lot of time and effort.

TransitDB is a hobby project. It has won awards from Microsoft Canada, and has been featured in the Georgia Straight, TransLink's Buzzer, UBC Science Connect, and more.

The free Android app was launched in 2013, and provides complete bus schedules in an offline format - no WiFi or data plan required.

Check out , and download the Android app at . Also available for BlackBerry 10 at .
